Around

A stay at the HOTEL ** LA BUISSONNIÈRE, in Bannay, in the Cher, cannot be imagined without a visit to Sancerre and the neighboring village of Chavignol. As everyone knows, the Sancerre Appellation shines with the excellence of its white, red and rosé wines, and the famous crottins de Chavignol are known throughout France.

A visit to the Maison des Vins de Sancerre is a must, as well as a stroll through the winding streets of the center of the medieval village, where you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to tasting local production. However, we recommend that you also go to Mr. and Mrs. Baudry, winegrowers in Saint-Gemme-en-Sancerrois (5 km from Bannay), in order to taste the wines of the Domaine de Rome (http://www.domaine-de -rome.com). Come on from us: the best welcome will be reserved for you.

If you take the D955 towards Bourges, you can discover, a few kilometers from Sancerre, in the village of Neuvy-Deux-Clochers, the Chèvrerie de la Tour. Philippe Custodio will welcome you warmly and you will be able to taste the AOC Chavignol droppings, logs and pyramids made on the farm from the milk of his beautiful goats, fed with homemade fodder and cereals. A detour that makes you salivate…

The 800 km cycle path which runs along the Loire to Saint-Brevin-les-Pins passes right in front of LA BUISSONNIÈRE and our HOTEL ** is a choice stopover for courageous cyclists. Our WEEKEND BIKE package is also a great opportunity to combine accommodation, catering and exploring the surrounding area by bike.
